The Project Accountant will be responsible for the proper administration of all job-related accounting functions and is directly responsible to the Project Manager in all matters relating to the project(s)’ accounting and financial activities. The Project Accountant must be versatile and as flexible as possible, prepared to do any accounting function necessary for the benefit of the project(s). The Project Accountant is responsible in bringing to the attention of the Project Manager and the Chief Financial Officer any unusual or continuing cost which may not have had specific prior approval of project management that may affect the financial outcome of the job.
- A bachelor’s degree in business with detailed knowledge of accounting principles or 10 years working in an accounting department
- At least five years of experience in project accounting and job cost accounting with a general contractor
- Must have excellent communication and writing skills, and organizational skills
